Matthew 25:40
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'"

Christ taught the world by small random acts of kindness to individuals he did not know or had never seen. Here at Stoney Creek Camp we like to attempt and follow in that example through our organization. For every room that is paid for and occupied, the funds are split into two basic categories. The first category falls under bills which maintains the establishment, and the second category fall under form of blessings through our Camp 2540 Program. Those funds that are turned into blessing provide free camp to low income children who would not otherwise offered the ability to attend a summer camp. During their time at Camp 2540, each of the children will learn life skills, character building traits, and addiction prevention. The goal is to change the trajectory of each child's direction from that of "being another static of poverty", to "productive successful citizen of our society". While the above traits are important to success, we believe ultimately that a relationship with Jesus Christ above all other things will be the key life changing factor in these children's lives and future. The Value of time.

Few gifts are more precious than time, and we understand that. So if you decide to spend it at Stoney Creek Camp 2540, we appreciate it. Like many organizations we are often understaffed, underfunded, but overjoyed in the work we are doing. It is our goal to provide a free safe-haven for underprivileged kids where they can be taught about God’s abundant love, build there own character, and gain life skills that will carry them long into adulthood.

While salvation through the acceptance of Jesus Christ is one of the most amazing things that can happen while attending camp 2540, it is only the first step in a long road travel. Here at camp 2540 it is our goal to spread the message of Jesus Christ to those who need it the most. If we can help center God as the foundation in a child’s heart, we believe they will be able to stand against life’s hardest storms.

Life skills

We cater to children in need with statistics already stacked against them. This is why we also focus on life skills that not only help with daily struggles, but actually position a child for success down the road. It is our hope to change not only these statistics, but ultimately how children with needs are handled within the Christian community.

Character building

Character is more than a belief system, it is who we are as individuals. Here at camp 2540, our goal is to instill character based on the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These are the stepping stones on the road to becoming who we are meant to be.

Addiction Prevention

It is more much more effective to influence and address problems within our community if we can get to them at an earlier age. Problems such as addiction should not only be addressed after the fact, but before the events ever take place.
